The design reminds me of a throwing star mixed with blades. There have been some discussions about the flight characteristics of the discs. It feels a little more flat for me, but the flight characteristics are not so different compared to the ultrastar.

Innova has already made several attempts to establish an Ultimate disc. Since 2013 Innova provides the official MLU disc. I have this „old“ model in my collection, bought about 10 years ago, unfortunately I do not remember exactly where. The disc does not fly very well, very different from the standard discraft discs. The design is rather simple.

Jason, the designer has chosen a Mayan motif. He did research on Mayan glyphs and their underlying meaning. in the center of the disc you can see graphics showing the Mayan ball game which was an important cultural ritual of the Mayan civilization. For information – see his page, link below.
All the inspiration he got from his research ended in this hand drawn artwork. It would be a pity to throw this disc.
This disc set is limited to 100 discs (50 black – on white disc, 25 metallic blue on white disc, 25 metallic blue on yellow disc)

The surfaces of the discs are tiled with repeating geometric shapes. This disc has stylized butterflies which are interlocked and fluttering. Because this disc is printed with two different metallic foils, it gives nice effects in the sun.
This disc was made by Internetdiscshop and is sold out for years. I owned this disc some years ago but gave it away.

This year’s edition runs from 2nd to 4th of July, 2011 in Redmond, Washington. It’s the 22nd edition of the tournament, and they may have produced the same number of discs. I would be glad to receive more pictures of older discs. This one can be bought from Internetdiscshop.
