From a Swiss Team comes this nice disc with a circular design. The print color is green metallic, hard to see on the picture. To find out more about the team freespeed take a look at their beautiful website. I’m not totaly sure, but the disc must be from around 2005.
This disc looks like the standard Discraft 175g Ultra-Star discs disc for Ultimate in color you find not so often with discs 🙂
But take a look at three small details – in fact this is a disc with 3 LED built into the rim. I bought it from internetdiscshop back in 2003 or 2004. That was the time before the Flash Flight Discs started to fly through the nights. I did not use this disc, but the batteries in the LED stopt to work some years ago.
This white disc with the national Colors of the Czech republic with the very nice logo of the tournament. This white discraft disc is used. But this very nice circular design is still clearly visible. It’s great when the designer uses the nature of the disc.
A Teamdisc from Endzonis, Germany. It must be from 1995/1996, a time when personal computers and graphics software became available for everybody. This design is made with the use of a 3D Software. The design from the beachtournament a year later looks more artistic in contrast to this design.
This is the only disc I have from Red Is. Are there newer ones flying around? I would really like to get some pictures, please help me!
I’ve only been at the wonderful tournament in Sarnen once, 1995, and enjoyed it very much. I was lucky enough to bee drawn in the winning team in this hat tournament. For everybody travelling Europe in summer or just looking for a nice tournament to throw some discs around – Sarnen is the place to be. Located at a lake and surrounded by the alps. You will find other players from around Europe.
